Scioto Digital was founded by a career information technology professional with years of experience inside public institutions, utilities, healthcare, higher education, and international commerce. Across every role, the work was the same: understanding what people actually needed from their systems, and delivering it with the technology available at the time.

That lens, built on direct customer support and business analysis, is the foundation of how Scioto Digital approaches every problem. Support work teaches you where systems fail people. Business analysis teaches you why. Development tools have now removed the cost and time constraints that once made most of those solutions untenable to build. The problems were always visible. Building for them is finally possible.

When Scioto Digital encounters a problem, we investigate before we assume. We ask questions, gather information, and explore digital pathways toward the outcome that actually serves you.

How We Work

Public institutions, unions, and community organizations have been sold to for decades by vendors who treated them as revenue rather than as partners. Scioto Digital operates on a different premise. Systems that are overdue for modernization should be modernized carefully, in partnership with the people inside them, toward better outcomes rather than faster extraction.

Our process makes technology approachable by starting with information gathering through a Discovery Session. Direct collaboration surfaces your actual requirements and builds common ground before any work is scoped or priced.

Scioto Digital builds with human respect, data privacy, security, and responsible technology implementation as both operational pillars and continuous improvement goals. As artificial intelligence and agentic work become mainstream, we hold the same commitment across those developing lanes. Our tools hold data only where necessary, locally by default, and apply artificial intelligence intentionally where it serves the user rather than at every opportunity. Meet the Founder and CEO

Jonathan Morton

Jon started Scioto Digital to fulfill the need for quality infrastructure, excellent service, and innovation that benefits the community. Years of technical support, enterprise infrastructure, and business analysis taught him to think at the systems level and to build according to the scale of what a client actually requires.

That approach now runs on a deployment pipeline capable of delivering custom web applications and sites for organizations of any size. Three applications were designed, built, and deployed through that pipeline between March and June of 2026.

Central Ohio is the home we embrace. The Silicon Heartland is not a consolation prize for a coastal address. It is a region full of institutions, workers, and businesses running on systems nobody has modernized, underserved by the industry at large. Our roots are local. Our solutions travel worldwide.
